CVA Social Gaming House

Club/Member

Game is often associated with a negative meaning as it is believed to distract students from studying. Our club wanted to host events that redefine the stereotypes held against the word “game”, creating a healthy environment for students to engage in entertainment activities after strength draining days at school. We have organized 2 events: MISTERIO and HEARTSHIPPER, one being escape rooms which we set up ourselves for students to enjoy and second is an event that gives students a chance to send anonymous letters as a way of expressing gratitude, regrets,.. before the school year ends.

Hair donation

Charity

In the UK for 3 years, I was growing my hair out for a very long time that it seems such a waste to let go of what I have grown so attached to. That is when I started researching ways in which I could donate my hair and came across The Little Princess Trust. I fell in love at once with the trust aim and how my virgin hair could be of help to children of my age who were struggling with cancer. Knowing that I could have put a smile on someone’s face makes me feel ecstatic. That is why when the length required was achieved, I then donated my hair again 2 years later in Vietnam to Breast Cancer Network Vietnam.

Vé Thông Hành: Eternal Flame

Podcast/Host

I was very fortunate for a chance to host the podcast “Eternal Flame" where I got a chance to talk and discuss the idea of start-up with renowned business owners. It was an eye-opening experience that really widened my knowledge in business. Our aim was to help answer any concerns Gen Z might have wanting to start up on their own.

Chu Van An High School's Graduation Ceremony 2021-2024

Event/Member

I participated in the organizing team of Chu Van An High School’s Graduation Ceremony for the students graduating in 2024. This took place at Chu Van An High school with the participation of not only all graduation classes but their parents and any year 10, 11 who wished to attend. The event took an unexpected turn because of the pouring rain but we manage to keep everything under control.

Sun in the Box

Club/Member

Amid COVID-19, I really wanted to start giving back to the community. At Sun in the box, I helped write posts to be published on their social media page to raise awareness and funds. All of the money which we got from selling baked goods went toward Ha Cau Orphanage and Blue Dragon Children's Foundation. Together, we were able to raise 5 millions Vietnamese Dong to contribute to the mission of these charities.

Cozy Village

Club/Member

I participated as a member of the content department to help raise funds through selling handmade goods. At the end of the season, we took a trip to Thuyan Rehabilitation Center for People With Disabilities and engaged with them in a lot of fun, interactive activities sponsored by the funds we have raised. Any remanings also went straight to the head of the center, hoping to be of small help to his mission. In total, the amount of funds we were able to raise exceeded 20 millions Vietnamese Dong.

Rowing

Hobbies

In the summer of grade 8 and 9, my dad introduced me to rowing. It was quite the challenge having to wake up early in the morning every weekend but the rewards knowing that I overcame myself were worth it. Not to mention, it was the best feeling knowing that I could thrive at one sport out of the many I had failed.
